🎄 XMAS WALK 🎄Leamington Circular 5 Miles (20/12/22)

The travel to and from the walk was going to be hit and miss with ongoing disruption to services but luckily, just like the weather, all worked out fine. We started the walk at approx 1050, first of all joining the canal heading in a southerly direction. After about half a mile, we left the canal and walked through, a couple of not too scenic housing estates for a mile or two until we crossed the railway and joined a bridleway into the countryside of Whitnash. We stopped shortly after for a short break to share a few goodies, but with everyone anticipating someone else bringing the alcohol, this was in limited supply! So after restarting, in a sober condition, we traversed rolling fields and rejoined the suburbs at Semele. A little main road walking before rejoining the canal, northwards and 1.5 miles walking to the end at the Railway Club for refreshments.

Thanks to little Spencer for his help with his whistle that enabled the group to proceed in an orderly fashion. Also thanks to all those who brought along a few nibbles to share back at the club.
