Members present: K Maguire, B Mulrennan, M Simmonds, P Cotterill, A Jones, D McDonnel and M Farkas (7) Alan, Mick and myself duly arrived at Wythall Station and waited for the others to arrive via the booked train. Unfortunately, Phil onboard, informed us it was meeting severe delay at Tyesely due to Trespassers. It was subsequently decided to terminate it once moving at Whitlock's End. So it was decided for the two groups to meet at a point close to the station and proceed from there to the original route. This was to add 1.5 miles to the length. So, we walked South and headed towards Earlswood lakes. Just getting fed up of road walking when we entered a couple of fields. One involving a really overgrown path with the dreaded Brambles. Luckily, I'd had a look at the whole route a couple of days before, found out about the overgrown paths and went out with Helen the day before to hack a clear way through. Once at the lakes, we had a nice sit down, admiring the views. We then set off around the very low water level of "Terry's" lake before entering more fields and a quiet lane to Fulford Heath golf course which we crossed fairly quickly as balls were flying everywhere. Last woodland path up into Wythall, a short road walk to the convince store for the beers and the walks end. 5 minute walk to my house where we were joined by Norah, Brod, Audrey, Nic and Paul for some food and chat in the sunshine.
