Absolutely beautiful day for the walk with blue sky and warm sunshine that was somewhat needed after the amount of rain we have had recently. We set off up the first of a few lanes in a westerly direction and crossed damp but not too muddy fields and it wasn't long before layers of clothing were coming off.

A fancy domed structure by someone's pond provided some fun with one member believing it was the remains of a sunken cathedral! Shortly after this, Hugh decided to get lost and had to be retrieved by a caring member... Personally, I'm not a carer! He should be more careful so Adrian volunteered.😄

We had a little lunch stop before joining the Monachs Way to Great Alne where we enjoyed Cakes, Lavender Scones and hot drinks in the local Cafe.

2 miles that were left were walked traversing fields to the walks end in Wooten Wawen and refreshments taken in the beer garden of the historic Bulls Head.

Very enjoyable day out and so nice to do a walk without to pdf instructions!! Only joking Ade. 😂
