We made the 10 minute connection from the train to bus at Willington .

On arrival at Repton some of us slipped on our gaiters as I had advertised muddy walk but due to recent dry weather this wasn't to be and the walk was done In good weather for November .

The walk followed the river Trent bank with views of Willington power station towers and Twyford hall

Before leaving the river bank across fields and lanes to Foremark hall where a short drinks break was taken before passing through the grounds which is part of Repton school complex .

We then passed through Heath wood a graduall climb took us to a point of good views and a herb of cows .

After a few photos with the cows we proceeded passing the Hangman's stone and found a place to have lunch on a couple of tree stumps .

After our stop we carryed on through woodland and fields to Milton and onto Repton admiring the variety of houses on the high st .

We then had refreshment before bus bck to Willington and some opting to get bus to Burton

Despite my prediction of mud and there wasn't any and moans of I've carried change footwear for nothing I think the group fully enjoyed the walk
