Attendees: P Bridges, N Bridges, S Roe, D McDonnell, B Mullrennen, N Graham, D Fox, A Sear plus 1 non member and Spencer

9 of us plus young Spencer all meet on the platform at Alvechurch. It's was a lovely sunny day so I was surprised to see Mr & Mrs Fox in Wellington boots, but would they get the last laugh. The beginning of the walk was along the Worcester canal before we headed off up to Upper Bittill Resovoir. After here it's a Bridal way and a lane. It was here we gave way to two ladies on horse back. Upon reaching the railway bridge the Fox's boots came into action, it was truly flooded. Our new horseback friends asked for our assistance as their horses would not travel through the water unless lead. So a few members lead the horses through. Just as we said our goodbyes, one of the riders dropped her whip, again a member saved the day by picking it up as she said wouldn't be able to get back on her horse without a step. The walk took us through Cofton park before the Bristol Rd and a stop at Sainsburys to buy supplies for the PnB bar. Back at the bar we enjoyed a few beers and 3 different curries and was joined by Mr Maguire, free food I guess 😁.
