The train and bus all ran to plan so we started our walk through Repton village and on to Milton and St Saviours church
After a quick look round the church we then took the driveway of Repton school passing Repton hall onto a road and footpath to Anchor church caves .
On arrival at caves we took bit of time to look round them and then walked a few hundred yards to our lunch stop.on a rather large fallen tree overlooking the river .
So far the weather had been fine but just after we set of along the river Trent bank towards Ingleby the rain started
We followed paths that took us back to Milton passing the hanging stone and then a pleasant walk alongside a brook took us back to Repton
Refreshments of a good relaxing 2hours took place at the Boot inn before catching our bus back to Willington and trains back but not before a few of us enjoyed fish and chips near the station
A.Dulson
