Penkridge to Milford common, Via staffs worc canal, staffs way 7.8 miles 26/10/21

Via staffs worc canal, staffs way Members present :A.Dulson D.Chambers M.Sadler K..Maguire P.Cotterill D.McDonnell J.Murdison (7) The walk started with a short walk through penkridge village before joining the Staffordshire & Worcestershire canal On leaving the canal we proceeded over fields and lanes to Bednall where Karl made friends with a clown scarecrow and he's me thinking there's only one clown on this walk . But on leaving Bednall we followed the Staffordshire way and couple of Stiles that where rather dodgy and I showed the group how not to get over it and then Dave decided he take half the brambles with him on the next one . But we all survived and entered the outskirts of Cannock chase with lunch taken on a fallen tree before continuing passing Freda,s grave and our woodland descent into Milford . Well nearly all of us Dave decided to take his own route with Phil and John as his rescue party We arrived at Milford in time for refreshment before the bus back to Stafford with a bus driver that we think was late for his dinner the speeds he was hitting We all had to recover from the journey in the picture house Wetherspoon's in Stafford before the train back A.Dulson
