Walkers present: A.Dulson,P.Cotterill, D.Chambers, A.Howell, A.Walton D.Martin,G.Corbett (7)

After meeting at Derby and chatting to Simon Roe who was unfortunately working

We got the train to Matlock as we arrived it rained but lasted 5 minutes .

On leaving Matlock station we crossed over to walk through the park to join the high tor path .

The path was steep in places with great views all around and a few layers were taken off due to how warm it was .

We descended from high tor to the cable car station at Matlock bath .

We then ascended up to Riber castle with good views over Matlock and lunch was taken by Riber Hall.

After lunch we followed underlating paths across fields and woodland before descending via a slippery wood path and farm track into Cromford .

A decision was made here to not carry onbto Matlock bath but to catch the train there and join John Roberts to Matlock Bath and take refreshments
