After the group of 9 rendezvoused at Ludlow station and walked up the hill to the town church, St Lawrence and ventured in to see a somewhat bizarre sight of gift shops, cafes and book fayres all located in a very grand and cathodic location. It's a way to pay the bills I expect.
We then walked down to the River Corve and into a long quiet lane and track to Ludlow race course. Shortly after this, we arrived at a very large farm shop where we indulged in some delicacies and drinks for our lunch.
We then ventured into the Halton Estate admiring various civil engineering feats upon the river and then after a long track arrived at the foot of the castle and the River Teme.
One last climb to the town and then a descent back to the railway station and into the Ludlow brewery for a couple of drinks.
A couple of showers were encountered but nothing to shout about after a very long dry period.
