Freezing fog was forecast and YES, Shafali was right! ❄️ But that didn't deter a good turnout of 21 walkers from attending the first walk of 2022. A 7.4 mile walk from Long Eaton to Beeston, mostly along the River Trent was planned but had to be tweaked due to flooded paths. Unfortunately, this caused more road walking at the start and wasn't the best start. Once we joined the River, it was all paved Riverside walking to Beeston Marina and then a couple of short roads to Beeston Station where refreshments were taken. Luckily Bob Ashton helped me out with the diversions otherwise we'd still be trying to get out of Long Eaton. Karl Maguire
