Church Stretton circular 9.5 miles (03/08/21)

Via Carding mill valley ,Pole bank ,Little Stretton ,Ragleith hill

After meeting Hugh at church Stretton we walked through Church Stretton passing the cenotaph and walking steeply up a road before turning off to path through the busy carding mill valley.

After reaching the waterfall we proceeded up to the summit of Long Mynd Pole Bank were we had lunch with excellent views and also watching the gliders.

After lunch we proceeded down steeply to Little Stretton resting for a drink on this warmish day .

We then ascended a steep path to summit of Ragleith hill where took a rest after a tough steep climb.

After getting our breath back we followed the ridge of Ragleith hill before descending steeply through a small wood and pavements back into Church Stretton .

Refreshment was taken in church Stretton before train back.

A great day of excellent weather and views and a tough walk too.
