MEMBERS PRESENT: M SIMMONDS, D FOX, K MAGUIRE, A JONES, G CORBETT, P COTTERILL, D CHAMBERS AND 1 X NON MEMBER, TIM MULRENNAN

Rendezvoused at Bromsgrove station at 1115 and was introduced to Tim, yet another of the Mulrennan clan! Honestly, start your own club 😂 Anyway, was equally surprised to see David Fox, making a reappearance after a long spell.

Briefly after starting, we had a short climb to the Worstershire canal, crossing this and then through a particularly attractive coppice before fields and lanes took us towards a busyish lane down onto the canal.

It was here we turned from the outermost part of the walk back towards Bromsgrove. I'm not a particular lover of canal walking, but this was is more interesting than most.

The promised picnic benches were a long time coming and everyone well ready for their lunch by the time we reached them.

A bit more canal upon restarting before we left the towpath at the Queens Head pub and then another little climb where we could once again, see Bromsgrove.

At the pub, we were joined by, yes, you guessed, more Mulrennans, Dale and John Roberts for enjoyable drinky winkies.
