Barton-under-Needwood circular 8 miles following the silver circuit (15/07/22)

The walk started in Barton -under-Needwood village with some walkers arriving in cars others by the bus that took in every Staffordshire village on route

We crossed across fields with great views of Dunstill church and passing old MG cars at a property on our route

We stopped for lunch in a freshly mown field with excellent views towards Burton

After lunch we descended down fields to Tatenhill passing some exclusive properties to join a path across more grassy paths to eventually reach the Trent Mersey canal .

We followed the canal before a short road walk took us in to Barton marina after walking past the shops and cafes of the marina we carried on back into Barton -under- needwood village

Refreshments where taken at the Middle bell pub which catered for our every need really nice well run pub

Some had the epic journey on the bus back to Lichfield for onward trains

A good day was had in some fine weather
