The walk started with a very short road walk to the Cromford canal which we only followed for short distance before leaving it to enter a steep ascent of Crich common .
On the leavin the common we entered the tors before arriving at the road at Crich village it was at this point we had the first bit of rain which Dale and Mac thought over trousers where needed within a minute it had stopped.
We then passed the Crich tramway museum and watched a couple trams in action before ascending to Crich stand .
After lunch in the mist we climb the stairs of the tower but unfortunately no views due to the mist .
Our return to Ambergate was via a quarry ,woodland paths and the Cromford canal.
Not a bad day considering the rain that had forecast but only had that minute burst but shame about the mist as no views
A Dulson
