Departed Albrighton at 1015 in dry conditions but somewhat chilly with the freezing wind and headed north towards Humphreston Hall. The first part of the walk was predominantly quiet lanes that were only busy with other walkers. After about 3 milesofthese lanes, we turned into a sometimes muddy bridleway that ran alongside the extensive estate of Chillington Hall. A few trees had blown over, damaging the brick boundary wall in places but only slightly hampered the walk.

This led us to a lane that was also part of the Monachs way. Before turning South towards Codsall, we had a 20 minute snack break and really didn't want any longer in the cold wind. Then down yet another  lane, where rain and sleet accompanied us down the last bridleway and then into the walks end at Codsall. A choice of pubs here but the group split into sections. Some travelling homebound, some settling in the first pub and someone went straight to the station pub.
