Well the day started with 12 members boarding the 10.00 Steam service from Kidderminster to Bridgnorth. There was enough time at Bridgnorth to get the first beer of the day in before we joined the 11.55 service back to Arley. On alighting here, we meet the next members who would join us. The Ledgers, the Duggards and Mr J Gregory.

This was now the walking section of the day. A short 2.5 mile stroll following the River Severn up stream to Highly. The Ship Inn unfortunately was closed due a fire some weeks previous, so we made use of the Engine shed cafe, after a look around the display of locomotives.

The first group photo was taken on the platform at Highly before our 15.07 Class 20 service to Kidderminster.

A room was booked for us at Kidderminster, where over the next hour, more members arrived to join in the celebrations. A quick one question quiz and guess the members who had walked more than 300 walks was hosted by the secretary and small gifts given out. A cold buffet was served at 17.00 which everyone enjoyed. Some interesting entertainment coming from Mr Maguire and the piano in the room!

Members then began dispersing from 18.30.

A very enjoyable day celebrating 25 years of the club.
