Wellington circular via New works / Limekiln wood 7 miles (07/02/24)

After meeting at wellington as I had drove there we proceeded through the town passing the old Chad toy factory and reached Limekiln lane .

We followed the lane under the M54  and entered Limekiln wood and on through the wood to reach a lane at New works .

Then followed a track with good view of the Wrekin and eventually entering another section of Limekiln wood where lunch was taken on some large rocks .

We then skirted Maddox's quarry and the golf course before lanes took us back in to wellington where I left the others to enjoy refreshment as I went home to bed after being in midnight's 

The weather was good it was muddy underfoot and a few slippery up/ downhill hill sections 

 We also  managed to see some Deer in the woods so enjoyable 7 miles
