Shoal hill common and Littleton colliery mound 6 miles (09/03/26)

I met the group at Cannock railway station and then a short walk to cannock bus station for the 11am bus to start of walk.

The first part of walk took through undulating woodland paths across Shoal hill common .

One muddy section across some vehicle tracks made sure our boots where not clean despite Pauls gallant effort of putting logs across

After that obstacle we walked down a metalled road to enter the former site of Littleton colliery and up the 94 steps according to Andy to the  top of Littleton mound 

After spending abit of time admiring the misty view we descended down to some picnuc tables for  lunch 

We then followed soggy grassy paths to the shoal hill tavern the group split at this point with some walking back into cannock and Andy and Paul went on the bus to Penkridge
