Creswell to Shirebrook 8miles (17/09/26)

We arrived at Creswell and waiting at the station drive was Mark . An old friend and local lad who would join us on the walk. We took in the sights of the Creswell graggs and then Mark pointed out the steps that he had built in one of the graggs. From here it was up to fields where once again Mark pointed out all the old coal pits we could see from this high point of the walk. Lanes and more fields lead us to Langwith and our lunch stop. A few members took advantage of the pub and lovely chip baps. The final few miles along paths and an old railway lead us into Shirebrook and the In-between pub which had opened early for us. We had a couple of hours here, then the group split with some going back via Nottingham. While some of us via Workshop and the Mallard pub on the station. Another long but very enjoyable day.
