Rugeley -Hednesford 6 miles (31/01/24)

The walk started with a short pavement walk before going along  paths alongside Rising brook and into Slitting mill.

On arrival at the stepping stones we had a photo which was also taken a few years ago with bugger numbers in attendance but we did try and spread ourselves across them 

We then carried on in decent weather past fair oaks pools and on to Marquis drive visitors centre 

After a warm drink and for some of us cake we  carried on via Tackeroo pools and Brindley Heath .

We arrived in Hednesford for some of us to make the 1400 train others chose to have refreshments in the wetherspoons 

We were also joined by John Roberts at this point .

A good day overall shame a few who asked for shorter walks didn't come along but hopefully see you soon on a walk.
