Attendees; A Dulson, M Sadler, D McDonnell

The journey to Pontesbury was in torrential but soon as we arrived the rain stopped and was only one shower after that .

We left Pontesbury via lanes before entering woodland paths some steep in places with views of one of our destinations Earls hill

After leaving the Eastridge woodland we followed fields to Habberley .

We had lunch sitting on the church wall or though we didn't stay long after seeing a poster about bears and wrestling in the village hall didn't want to upset the locals if in too that sort of thing .

We followed some muddy lanes before a very steep ascent of Earls hill with excellent views of the surrounding countryside of Stiperstones and Wrekin

We then had a very steep descent through woodland and a short lane took us to our final destination the Nags head where refreshment was taken before the bus back to Shrewsbury

Well done to Mac who found a love of walking poles which he admitted helped him on this fairly strenuous walk
