Stafford to Stone 9.5miles (01/10/24)

Six of us set off expecting a wet and muddy walk. For the best part, the weather wasn't too bad, although towards the end the rain and wind picked up.

We couldn't find anywhere suitable for lunch so we tried to shelter in some trees for a quick stand up lunch.

As we set off again we came across a rather unstable bridge. Nicola didn't like the look of it so Karl tried it first. We all made it across safely.

This is where we got soaked as it was a few opens fields before we joined the canal for the last slog into Stone.

We took shelter in the first pub we came across to dry off and enjoy some refreshments.
