Walkers present : A.Dulson M.Sadler .H.Jones D.Martin . B.Mulreannan P.Bridges (6)

The walk started with a road walk to the canal for one bridge before passing through Macclesfield golf course then field paths to Langley with one downpour that we managed to stand under a tree for 5 minutes to avoid worst of it .

A short road walk through Langley took us to Teggs nose reservoir and a steep ascents up Teggs nose with excellent views all around

After passing some of the old quarry equipment left on display we arrived at the café where a cuppa and lunch was taken

We then followed the Gritstone way across fields and lanes into Black brook.

Where started the ascent of Kerridge ridge , we were following the main path before we diverted off on what thought was a route to the top as it looked like the path Zig zagged up.

How wrong we were but eventually met back.up.with main track after a few steep grass embankment climbs and rough paths that I think.only sheep. Had used and even the Rabbits shocked to see us

But after all the off path adventure we reached the Trig point of the Kerridge ridge then onto the white Nancy and a descent into Bollington

Refreshments taken in the Bollingto.brewery Vale inn

Taxis where required due to a bus strike but it was actually cheaper than the bus

Good day had by all despite the zig zags adventure

A.Dulson.
