Ironbridge circular 9 miles (29/08/23)

The walk started on time at Ironbridge Toll house as all trains and buses ran to time and we met Hugh &Ros who had drive there .

The walk started with a steep lane walk and fields to Benthall hall after a look around the church next to the hall with it's metal headstones .

We followed fields and lanes and had lunch in a field with some logs as benches .

After lunch a field took us to the half way point from here we followed the Shropshire way back to Ironbridge

Which involved fields and lanes and some steep slippery descents through woodland paths

This half of walk we had heavy rain waterproofs and umbrellas were needed but we were slightly protected by the woodland

On arrival at Ironbridge the rain stopped and buses and trains ran to plan

Good day out in area not done much walking in .
