Members present, D McDonnell, K Maguire, P Cotterill, N Graham, P Bridges, D Chambers, R Steele and A Dulson (8) Slight delay starting the walk at Droitwich due to train disruption but luckily, the weather was fabulous so we were not getting wet whilst we waited group together. The first half of the walk was along the Droitwich canal, problem was finding it...despite doing g the reccee only a few weeks ago. Anyway, after a slight about turn that only 7 of the 8 walkers noticed, we found the canal. A very quiet and picturesque towpath was used to leave Droitwich. After a short time, a dog walker with 3 or 4 dogs approached us in the opposite direction and one of the dogs (Ranger) decided to head away from the owner in front of us. After turning a corner, he was never seen again by us, but the owner made contact with us via phone and said he'd eventually found him. After time, we left the canal and headed up a sharp inclined lane and this led us to another road and alleywsy into Fern hill Heath. A park had plenty of seating for us to enjoy our lunch. Upon restarting, a short busy road was used before turning into a corn field and then through an industrial park onto the Birmingham -Worcester canal. A couple of miles along this well surfaced towpath brought us to an alley that led us into the City centre for refreshments. Kim had a break from her shopping addiction to join us for a drink. Karl Maguire.
