Rendezvous at Dorridge was 1115 and we set off almost immediately for this short 6 mile romp through fields, lanes and woodland. Recent rain and today's occasional showers meant we were always likely to end up wet at some point and fortunately we only had one short shower.Interesting and notable on this route, were the amount of churches in the Hockley Heath area. One built upon the site of a medieval site.
Towards Tamworth in Arden, a path bordered by Laurel hedging had become very overgrown that had to be negotiated carefully due to barbwire fencing the other side. Through the grand avenue of trees and then if your feet were still the dry, the last two fields were certain to make sure they wouldn't be as they were very wet and overgrown.
Walk ended at the Warwickshire Lad pub.
