We met at Dorridge by train and departed approx 11am. First part was down an affluent lane with prestigious houses to admire before entering and crossing Dorridge Park. Quiet lanes were walked, circumnavigating the Packwood estate before arrived at the church cemetery in Lapworth. Here we had an early lunch stop.

After a short while, we carried on down a dirt track called Tapster Lane and then emerged into another quiet road that we walked until we reached a wood called 'Bush Wood'.....I don't know why, it looked as bushy as any other wood I've seen! Anyway we skirted this but here we had to put waterproofs on or umbrellas up as it started to rain. Due to the long grass on the rest of the walk, that was the end of everyone having dry feet. It wasn't a lot of rain before it stopped but we since found out, we were very lucky being on the edge of it, as many areas were having a deluge.

Another couple of miles of typical Warwickshire fields and footpaths were walked before we arrived at 'The Mount' an ancient hill fort. Only Roz and Hugh elected to climb up to it, the rest of us opting for the flatter way around it. A nice beer garden at the end was the reward but was spoilt by Brenda banging on about how poorly she has been with Covid. On the plus side, she did take a lovely picture of me 📸😂😂 A great walk that was ruined by people joining me.
