We all met at Chester for train to Delamere in dry warm conditions on the train the day didn't start so great for me Phil generously handed round the polo mints but this had effect on one of teeth breaking it .

The walk started following trails past Delanere forest visitors centre then i decided to divert up old pale hill with great views of many counties then dropped down back to the Sandstone trail .

We followed the trail through woodland where unfortunately i took a wrong path .

So we carried on through Primrose wood and stopped for lunch and then took lanes and field paths to rejoin sandstone way .

Which we followed to Back lane where paths took us into Torporely and a quick drink stop at the rising sun before bus to Chester for trains home

A enjoyable walk despite the extra mileage oops
