There was no one at Shrewsbury so got the train to Church Stretton where I was met by Hugh,Ros
The 3 of us proceeded up footpaths some slightly overgrown to the summit of Hazler hill with excellent views all around .
Dropping down from the summit via a lane we managed to avoid a stampede of sheep that the farmer was moving to the farm .
We ascended a steep path up.to the Gaer stone and on to wilstone hill with now more views including the Wrekin in the distance .
We followed the grassy ridge before descending via fields and lanes into Cardington
After our lunch stop in the church yard we followed field paths before joining Cwm lane back into Church Stretton
A fairy strenuous walk with great views and weather was warm but also a breeze with was most welcome considering the high temperatures we had the previous days
A.Dulson
