A good turnout of 9 for a cold and slightly wet January walk. After Brenda arrived we set off along the Worcester and Birmingham canal up to University. We left the canal here cutting through the heart of QE Birmingham hospital grounds and then passing some fine houses of Edgbaston and Harborne. Then from here the old Harborne branch line took us back towards the Birmingham canal. Whilst on the old line we took shelter under the Hagley Rd and had a quick lunch break. A few drinks were had at the station Spoons before some of us went to work.
