We arrived at Hope in glorious weather and followed a footpath across fields to join a old Roman road up to Hope Cross

With fantastic views all round (lose hill ,mam tor to name a few )

From the cross we descended through woodland paths to join a path alongside Lady Bower reservoir which we followed right to the Derwent dam and also stopped for lunch close to the water's edge .

A steepish ascent took us on our route back towards hope

We then descended across fields to the station but missed the train by a few minutes so as the nearest refreshments is in the village so another walk was required to get us a well deserved drink in the sunshine

We had a smashing time there well I did accidently knocking my pint off the table and showering glass everywhere and drowning my bag in beer

Well it was a pre birthday drink for me and I am getting on abit lol

The group travelled back at various times and calling into various refreshment venues on way home

Was a great day and so lucky with weather and a welcome to N.Swinfield who joined the club today
