Via Hednesford & Rawnsley hills

Walkers in present ;A.Dulson (leader), P.Cotteril,l J. Hickling, A.sear, D.McDonnell and K.Maguire The walk started just before 11am in bright sunshine we ascended Hednesford hills before dropping down to brickworks nature reserve and passing over Wimblebury mound and onto prospect village Just before heading into woodland we had lunch at 1230 Inc some mini cupcakes I brought along as part of birthday celebration We headed through woodland and a slight boggy area into Hazelslade nature reserve and onto Rawnsley hills But not before meeting Mark who had walked from Hednesford to meet us The last part of walk took us over Hednesford hills past the Cannock chase museum and through Hednesford park viewing the old hednesford signal box now positioned in the park and posing in the middle of a football pitch for photo We arrived at the Wetherspoon's Hedgeford lodge at 230 where we where joined by John Roberts for refreshment in the beer garden some had food also before making there way home It was a most enjoyable day as hadn't seen most of those attending for. A while and hopefully shows I've fully recovered from my covid ordeal A.Dulson
